Everything in the movie had to be in fall colors. Everything.

I recall a red toothbrush, hardly a fall color, in a scene shot  in a bathroom. Painting leaves to make them look like they had  turned. The people who lived in the carriage house giving Mimi a shot of Prohibition hootch before her nude scene.

The terrible wood letters for the gallery window. At at one point saying to Gerry, “Do I have to move these? Can’t you shoot a curtain call for the props?””
